MESNER DEVELOPMENT CO. is a real estate development firm specializing in Low Income Housing Tax Credit projects. The company is owned by Kathryn and Clifford Mesner. The Mesners are both attorneys practicing in Central City, Nebraska. The Mesners have developed Low Income Housing Tax Credit Projects for over twenty years and have served communities across Nebraska and Kansas. They have also developed other commercial and residential real estate in both states.
Mesner Development Co. has successfully developed $110 million worth of Low Income Housing Tax Credit units. In addition to securing Low Income Housing Tax Credits from state agencies, Mesner Development Co. recruits tax credit syndicators and/or private investors; works with local communities on planning, zoning and subdivision issues; secures local construction and permanent financing; and applies for additional gap funding through Tax Increment Financing, HOME Funds, Affordable Housing Trust Funds, Federal Home Loan Bank AHP funds and various HUD programs.
